Position Title: Switch Gear & Controls Engineer

Duration: Contract

Location: Leamington Spa / Woking / Bicester

Outside IR35 - 42 hours per week

Hybrid 3 days on-site

*Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.*

Key Responsibilities

• Own and support engineering delivery of interior switchgear systems from concept through production readiness
• Lead and maintain DFMEA activities, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and tracked
• Define, execute, and track DVP&R activities in line with programme timing
• Support design development and technical change management, including late changes
• Provide engineering support through tooling kick-off, development, and readiness for production
• Act as technical interface with Tier 1 suppliers, ensuring alignment on requirements, timing, and quality
• Support issue resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
• Contribute to engineering reviews, programme milestones, and sign-off activities

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in automotive interior controls / switchgear / HMI systems
• Strong working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP / V-cycle delivery
• Experience managing supplier engineering deliverables
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling development and vehicle architecture
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and late changes in a fast-paced, high-risk delivery-focused environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to integrate quickly
• Familiarity with electrical integration of switchgear systems
