Introducing the Contechs High-Voltage Systems Engineering Accreditation Programme; a first-of-its-kind industry initiative designed to empower the future mobility sector with the knowledge, skills, and qualifications required to engineer the next generation of transportation.
Playing a pivotal role in addressing the prevalent skills shortage of qualified electrical and electrification engineers, the 22-week programme will provide course students with an in-depth understanding and hands-on experience of high-voltage systems through a series of modules. The course combines extended reality (XR) virtual teaching and physical analysis at state-of-the-art assessment facilities at Contechs’ headquarters in Warwickshire and Essex.
Core to the UK government’s roadmap towards its 2035 Net Zero Pledge, the course will produce 600 industry-accredited high-voltage systems engineers in 2025 and will be scaled further from 2026.
“Our programme is not just about filling the skills gap; it’s about shaping the future of the industry,” said Ian Trueman, Contechs' Electrical & Electrification Director. “By training the next generation of high-voltage systems engineers, Contechs will help to accelerate the global transition to sustainable transportation, supporting the UK government to meet its 2035 Net Zero Pledge.”
The High-Voltage Systems Engineering Accreditation Programme will launch in 2025, becoming the first UK-based programme dedicated to high-voltage upskilling with theory and practical learning as part of its syllabus. Available to businesses and individuals from graduate to qualified engineer level, those interested in enrolling in the programme can register their interest via the button below.
