Volvo launches industry-first safety technology

posted over 2 years ago

Volvo, a pioneer of automotive safety systems, has introduced a new, industry-first safety technology, named Accident Ahead Alert.

This innovative technology warns drivers of accidents ahead using real-time data from a traffic management centre. Available in compatible Volvo cars in Europe, Accident Ahead Alert will initially be rolled out in Denmark.

The safety system aims to help drivers avoid collisions and traffic congestion caused by an accident ahead. The new safety system signals another step towards more connected, data driven vehicles.

Contechs has invested in a dedicated team for Connected Car services to research and develop innovative software, connected vehicles and safety systems for its clients.
