As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly relevant across the world, Volkswagen has launched a new company dedicated to AI and its applications in the vehicles of tomorrow.
Named ‘AI Lab’, the new company will enable AI technology for various models within all the Group’s brands. Technologies like advanced voice recognition, predictive maintenance, optimised charging cycles and V2V and V2X communication will be the focus of AI Lab’s work, which will be driven by high-profile experts within the AI space.
With the launch of AI Lab, Volkswagen Group aims to remain at the cutting edge of AI vehicle applications which are already being deployed in new models.
