Europe’s largest automotive manufacturer, Volkswagen, has presented their ID. GTI all electric hot hatch concept at the IAA Mobility Motor Show in Munich.
Volkswagen announced they will be launching eleven new all-electric models by 2027, meaning they are set to have the widest electric vehicle range of all manufacturers. Alongside these models they presented the concept for the sporty and emotive GTI version of the ID. family, showing how the GTI badge will be transported into the electric age. “The perfect combination of driving pleasure and everyday useability”, says Thomas Schäfer, CEO of Volkswagen passenger cars. The exciting new hatchback is scheduled to hit the roads in 2027.
