The latest design study from Singer celebrates the Porsche 934/5 endurance racers of the 1970s.The project begins with owners' cars (964 Turbo) which is then taken apart and the chassis strengthened. Modified carbon fibre bodywork is used to reduce weight, and the 3.8 litre, flat six engine is reworked and tuned to enable power outputs over 700 horsepower at more than 9,000 rpm. The result is a dramatic reimagining of the iconic 964 turbo, using the technology developed for the “Dynamics and Lightweighting” (DLS) study into a Type 964 911 race car.
