Contechs has appointed Chris Hamilton as Design Director to lead our Design Studio team as we support our prestigious automotive OEM clients.
Chris brings a wealth of design experience to the Contechs team, having previously delivered a variety of award-winning design projects at Ford, including Puma, Fiesta, Mondeo, Transit, and Lincoln vehicles. His 20+ years at Ford saw him lead teams in the USA, UK, and Germany, culminating in his progression to the position of Head of Global Strategic Design for Ford of Europe.
Chris joins the team to provide his extensive knowledge and expertise to our clients, as they develop the next generation of production vehicles. He will lead the Design Studio team in delivering global programmes from concept to production.
Speaking about his appointment, Chris said: “After a successful career at Ford I felt that it was time for a new creative challenge. Pete Jarvis and I had been discussing about developing the Design Studio business at Contechs and this felt like the perfect opportunity to get involved and use my experience to help develop the team for the future.”
