Senior Android Developer

3-month initial contract

Onsite working - Gothenburg (occasional WFH and travel expectations)

I am currently recruiting on behalf of an automotive OEM, based in Gothenburg, who are seeking a Senior Android Developer to join their team

Job Description

As Senior Android Developer, your main responsibilities include:

  • Help creative team to explore feasibility of product ideas and develop production code, for functional and user friendly applications.
  • Work within the Technology & Innovation department, a cross-functional team, where inter-disciplinary focus, curiosity and drive are highly valued.
  • Work in close collaboration with all other design departments, shaping the mobility experience of the future.
  • A high level of responsibility and mandate, to be able to work autonomously.

Qualifications/Skills needed

  • Bachelor's degree, in computer science, software engineering or related.
  • More than 5 years of Android development experience.
  • Proficient in programming languages, with deep understanding of Android SDK, framework, and automotive-specific APIs.
  • Knowledge in working with production quality software and tools, and Android Testing Frameworks.
  • Experience in automated tests, documentation and continuous integration.
  • Experience in performance optimization, memory management and hardware optimization.
