Position Title: Vehicle Package Zone Integrator Engineer

Duration: 5 Month Rolling Contract

Location: Gaydon

Division: Engineering Operations

Position Description:

• Vehicle Package zone integrator engineer
• Zone integration engineer within the vehicle-packaging department working for Technical Group Leader on EMA.
• Candidate will support the TGL in resolving cross-functional issues focusing on CAD based solutions, running integration sessions and supporting the Agile group through technical milestones.

Skills Required:

• Must be technically curious and capable with a proven track record of complex problem solving
• Cad proficiency preferred using 3Dx CATIA V6 or Catia V5 Automotive vehicle packaging and integration experience preferable

Skills Preferred:

• Department: Vehicle package / geometric integration teams are responsible for the full vehicle geometric integration of the vehicle, whilst balancing system and attribute performance, from concept to end of life, across the entire Clients' products.
• The teams' main responsibilities fall into the following areas: 1. Zonal integration lead supporting Technical Group Leader within Closures and Exteriors Group 2. Leading technical Issue resolution within a specific Group from Concept through to Job 1

Experience Required:

• Good communication skills - written, graphical and verbal essential.
• Well rounded knowledge of vehicle types, systems and sub systems essential.
• Hands on ability, assembly and dis-assembly, making models - essential
• Experience of negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflict essential.
• The commitment to deliver quality results in a flexible and dynamic team environment essential.
• A proven ability to work within strict timing constraints essential.
• The ability to achieve results in an efficient manner, making effective use of all resources available within the company and outside essential.
• Ability to tell a data / CAD driven Engineering story that efficiently highlights status / work to do / help required essential.
• Driving License - Essential

Experience Preferred:

• Familiar with vehicle Mechanics Knowledge of electronic based parts listing and family trees - advantageous.
• A working knowledge of Vehicle Packaging roles, Vehicle Engineering and Engineering deliver team structures and their responsibilities - advantageous.
• Experience of presentation to peers and senior management - advantageous.
