We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2024 Contechs Design Award; a new award which celebrates and recognises aspiring young automotive design talent.
The awards evening gave Coventry University's final year students the opportunity to present their design projects to Chris Hamilton (Design Director, Contechs), Carsten Astheimer (Astheimer Design) and Jordan Demkiw (Ford of Europe).This year’s finalists demonstrated outstanding creativity, design thinking and technical design skills.
First place was awarded to Diogo Goncalves, who impressed the judges with an innovative solution to human organ transportation through a specialised autonomous vehicle. In second place, Laszlo Csizmadia presented his future motorsport concept, Ground + Air Racer. In third place, Jaeun Park displayed ‘Concept Midway’, a multifunctional SUV vehicle concept.
Contechs continues to support future design leaders through the Contechs Design Award and integrated student projects. Congratulations to this year's winners and all the final year students.
