Position Title: Studio Engineer

Duration: Contract

Location: Metro Detroit, USA

Essential Criteria:

• Support surface development for the Interior and Exterior Surfaces
• Support of the Design Studio from the sketch phase through the entire Design process including final surface release
• Working closely with the design team and other departments to manage upcoming issues and escalating unresolved issues to the next level
• Responsible for liaising with the Vehicle Engineering team to communicate Design intent and for highlighting and communicating conflicts between Product engineering and Design and negotiating solutions to support Design maturation
• Ensuring packaging standards and legal requirements are implemented and adhered to
• Responsible for deploying hard points, criteria and technical input and supporting the Design team to evolve the Design theme based on them
• Responsible for validation of technical input prior to transfer to Design and Modelling teams
• Responsible for providing feasibility supporting the design, development and integration of components and systems within specified areas of the vehicle
• Responsible for creation of reports which assess various style themes against the master sections using the appropriate company process
• Strong CATIA skills
