About the company

Contechs is recruiting on behalf of our hyper-car customer based in Denmark. They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help shape and execute their upcoming build - and lay the foundation for future small-series production. This is not your typical automotive role. You'll be joining a hands-on, fast-moving team building performance vehicles from the ground up. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of practical manufacturing knowledge, early-phase development insight, and a passion for engineering excellence.

This contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in environments with high autonomy, a strong builder mindset, and the drive to make meaningful impact from day one.

Description of the assignment

The contractor will play a key role in the development and execution of the manufacturing strategy for a ground-up performance vehicle prototype. This assignment will support the transition from concept to physical build within a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment. The engineer will take a lead role in establishing core manufacturing processes, tooling strategies, and cross-functional build coordination - working hands-on during the build phase and contributing to long-term production readiness.

What We Offer

  • Work on a flagship prototype build in a high performance hyper car vehicle programme.
  • Join a team where you influence process, not just follow it.
  • A collaborative, flat-structured culture with real ownership and trust.
  • Dynamic work setting between digital tools and hands-on problem-solving. Your will develop product/vehicle/structure manufacturing approaches, design tooling, and provide hands-on leadership throughout a prototype build
  • Help plan the assembly station, tool layout, part storage etc.
  • Develop a process for issue raising and tracking
  • Opportunity to shape future builds and take on more responsibility as we scale.

Who are you

As part of a forward-thinking, cross-functional team, you will play a central role in team with a strong team moral.

  • You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments where not everything is set in stone
  • Experience setting up or improving manufacturing processes within the automotive industry from scratch is highly valued.
  • Experience in build out a bill of process for the build
  • Pragmatic, curious, and self-motivated with a "we'll find a way" mindset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions and cultures
  • Comfortable working independently on product streams within larger team projects
  • Proactive and capable of handling multiple tasks and priorities
  • Flexible and team-oriented with a global perspective
  • Clear communicator and natural problem-solver.

It's a hands-on, dynamic role where you'll collaborate across teams, contribute to shape the future of the automotive industry.

Ideally you also have experience

  • Practical knowledge of CFRP components and small-batch manufacturing.
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, tracking systems, reporting).

Qualifications and skills required for the role

  • Previous work on GT, cup, or hypercar platforms.
  • Strong experience on low-volume, high-performance automotive manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken
  • Background in complete vehicle development programmes, ideally in early-phase or prototype builds.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools for virtual build planning and fixture design.
  • Must be eligible to work in Europe

Workplace:
100% On-site in Denmark with collaboration across teams in the UK and Sweden.
