Duration: Contract

Location: Solihull, 5 days on-site

*Applicants MUST have proof of immediate, on-going and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK and travel within the EU.*

Essential Criteria:

• Design using Creo
• 3D data management using Windchill
• Package investigations and development of solutions to EDS related electrical component package issues
• Adhere to Customer specifications and requirements while developing designs
• Adhere to internal specifications and requirements while developing designs
• Timely implementation of design changes during program development, prototype and production build phases
• Review designs with customer manufacturing team to ensure feasibility for instillation into vehicle, including using all design process
• Ensure EDS routing and electrical component package design is compatible with vehicle environment.
• Prepare marked up 2D drawings to support design changes, Check 2D drawings are in-line with the planned design prior to release.
• Participate in internal and customer meetings to support EDS design and development
• Support design reviews, prototype harness and vehicle builds at company and customer locations.
• Identify, track and resolve EDS design and manufacturing issues.
• Participate in cost & weight benchmarking activities.
• Generate, review and evaluate potential cost reduction ideas.
• Carry out CAD assembly investigations together with the responsible project engineers in virtual vehicle assembly rooms and preparation of the corresponding documentation.
