We are now looking for a Customs Specialist to join the Test vehicles & logistics department. The team is located at Test Site Säve, Gothenburg.

Who we are

The Test vehicles & logistics department is responsible for the test vehicles continuous life cycle during the development process. The fleet consist of various types of vehicles and brands in the Global OEM organization.

The department consists of four sub departments.

  • senior advanced Fault tracer/SWDL
  • Vehicle management
  • Test vehicle fault trace/uptime engineer
  • Logistics

We are involved throughout the entire process, from planning & defining content to coordinating test vehicle build and usage, including material order to deliver tracking and to secure the latest SW baseline.

Logistics handling both test vehicles and spare parts, and monitoring carrier services.

This is a cross functional team working closely to ensure the test vehicle usage is optimized and fit for test in accordance with the purpose of build.

The typical task of the Test vehicle team is to take on the issues raised by the users of the test vehicles. The test vehicles are located at various locations depending on the test type.

The majority is located at our workshop Site at Säve and Uni3 at Lindholmen, but test vehicles can also be at other proving grounds in Sweden, EU, China and US.

We secure that the fleet is ready when going out on tests.

Description of the assignment

As a Customs Specialist, you play a critical role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and efficient movement of goods between Europe, China, and our global markets.

You support our rapidly scaling supply chain by safeguarding customs compliance, enabling timely deliveries, and protecting the company from regulatory risks as we continue expanding our footprint across Europe.

This position sits within Test vehicles & logistics and works closely with finance, legal and external logistic partners to secure a seamless and compliant end to end import/export process.

Key responsibilities.

  • Customs Compliance for the company's Supply Chain.
  • Ensure all imports and exports comply with EU, Swedish, and Chinese customs regulations, supporting both vehicle and spare parts flows.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, declarations, origin certificates, and HS classifications.
  • Classify automotive components and finished goods according to HS codes and assign duties, tariffs, and taxes accordingly.
  • Monitor regulatory changes in EU/Sweden customs laws and proactively adjust: internal customs processes and guidelines.
  • Conduct internal audits and identify high risk areas; propose corrective actions to safeguard compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customs related matters towards internal stakeholders (e.g., Logistics, Purchasing, Finance).

Qualifications and skills required

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics and licensed customs broker or specialist.
  • Experience within customs, international logistics, import/export compliance, or freight forwarding.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage documentation, analyse data, and ensure accuracy under time sensitive conditions.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with authorities and internal stakeholders.
  • Mother tongue Swedish and fluent in English.

Advantage.

  • Experience in the automotive industry or a fast-paced scaleup environment.
  • Familiarity with Chinese customs documentation and/or EU China logistics flows.
  • Knowledge of ERP, customs filing platforms, and logistics systems.
