About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a global OEM, based in Gothenburg, who are seeking a AI Engineer - LLM (Automotive) to join their team. You will join the European R&D hub for a premium electric mobility brand.

The Role
We are looking for an AI Engineer - LLM to join our dynamic team in Gothenburg. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with next-generation AI and Machine Learning technologies to transform automotive product development. This role focuses on developing, fine-tuning, and deploying LLM-driven AI solutions for engineering and product workflows. You have the freedom to learn, experiment, and innovate with AI, turning cutting-edge ideas into real-world solutions that make a tangible impact. You'll be part of an innovative international R&D organization shaping the future of mobility and driving the development of electric vehicles in Gothenburg.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build data pipelines and integrate product-specific automotive knowledge.
  • Develop and deploy RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) models.
  • Implement AI agent frameworks (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Copilot Studio) for engineering workflows.
  • Design scalable AI architectures in cloud (Azure, AWS) and on-premises environments.
  • Collaborate across teams to apply AI & ML to real-world electric vehicle product development.

Qualifications / Skills needed

  • Master's in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or Applied Math/Statistics.
  • Strong experience in Python, JavaScript, C#, Terraform, and AI coding tools.
  • Familiar with prompt engineering and AI agent frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) and DevOps practices.
  • Curious, collaborative, and eager to innovate in a fast-paced automotive AI environment.
  • Bonus: Familiar with MCP, DSPy, and emerging AI trends.
  • Collaborative and open to working in a diverse, multicultural environment.
  • Quick to learn and willing to take risks
