ZEEKR has teased a performance version of its flagship 001 shooting brake, announcing its entry to the EV sports car segment as part of its rapid expansion into the market. The Geely-owned luxury EV brand hinted at this performance model through a tweet to Tesla, a direct rival for the Chinese-headquartered brand.
Named the 001 FR, ZEEKR described it as “a new type of beast” in the tweet to Tesla, directly stating its intent to compete with the EV brand and the wider automotive market in China. Now taking pre-orders on its 001 shooting brake in the EU, ZEEKR looks to expand to new markets too.
