Position Title: Visualisation CAD Engineer

Duration: 5 Month Rolling Contract

Location: Gaydon

  • Visualisation CAD Engineer

Position Description:

  • Our Client is seeking an experienced CAD engineer to join their small team of visualisation specialists.
  • The team work closely with Human Factors subject experts and package engineers to develop methods that are customised to deliver for specific ergonomic and HMI design requirements.
  • The successful candidate will assist in preparing and supporting immersive XR reviews, and desktop visualisation studies, using our Unreal Engine toolset.
  • You will be responsible for manipulating and preparing CAD data from PLM systems into our Unreal Engine based platform, adhering to data pipeline process.
  • You will work closely with the development team, supporting the deployment of visualisation capabilities to meet customer requirements.
  • This role is ideally suited to a skilled CAD engineer, with an interest in XR technologies, who can work closely and effectively with internal engineering customers to deliver a high-quality visualisation service

Skills Required:

  • Degree in engineering or related field
  • Experience in CAD toolsets (e.g. CATIA, Viz Mockup, DeltaGen)
  • Interest in Game engine and / or immersive VR technologies

Experience Required:

  • Degree in engineering or related field
  • 3+ years industry experience of using CATIA and other CAD toolsets
  • Interest in Game engine and / or immersive VR technologies

Experience Preferred:

  • Understanding of source control, particularly GIT Familiarity with Jira / Atlassian toolset and agile methodology
  • Experience with game engines, specifically Unreal Engine Skills in Python, PowerShell scripting
  • Experience using VR / immersive technologies and understanding of how these might be applied
