Vehicle Integration/Technical Group Lead Engineer

6 Month Contract (Immediate Start)

Gaydon (Onsite)

£30ph (Inside IR35)

Position Description:

  • Vehicle Integration/Technical Group Lead Engineer
  • Multiple roles are available that act within one group, or across all of the technical groups in MLA; Attributes, Front, Underfloor, Upper Body, Electrical & Powertrain.
  • Within any of these roles, you can expect to: Collaborate with Technical Group Leads and Engineers in all groups, to ensure that robust technical delivery is enabled throughout the programme.
  • Coordinate Technical Integration and DV activities within your group or across all groups.
  • Act as a key interface with our Test & Development teams to ensure seamless creation and management of prototype plans.
  • Act as a key interface with our Virtual Series teams to ensure seamless management of all Virtual Series activities.
  • Lead technical issues resolution, either within your group or across multiple groups/domains.
  • Lead the update and reporting of programme health charts for robust technical gateway delivery.
  • Management of DV planning and report-out.
  • Lead the consolidation of Technical Gateway evidence data.
  • Lead the Automated Issues Management process, reporting and escalation (cross-group).

Skills Required:

  • Relevant degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent technical communication, influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Proven ability to work with technical data and combine business skills with technical decision-making.

  • Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or another highly technical discipline

Experience Preferred:

  • Excellent technical communication, influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Relevant degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or another highly technical discipline.
  • Significant relevant engineering experience allied to a customer first mind-set.
  • Results driven, with the tenacity and perseverance to deliver plans in a complex and demanding environment.
  • Driving licence.
