Position Title: System Engineer

Duration: 6 months

Location: Gothenburg Sweden

Description of the assignment

• This is an assignment at Exterior Systems. The team handles all exterior plastic parts, exterior lighting, glazing, mirrors and functional black trim, such as under body panels and absorbers.
• The main task is to be System Engineer (Component owner) area Door Claddings. The Door Claddings consist of all parts in the day light opening of the side doors including Rocker. On top of that, NVH absorbers in Fender area and Air guides are also belonging to the area. However, in Exterior Systems we are trying to have flexible mindset, meaning that we try to find synergies between the area so sometimes we move components between areas.
• Your daily work task will be to lead and secure quality of work towards PPAP1/2, including manage supplier, internal stakeholders, testing and design changes required from for instance builds or tests. Even if the team include CAD engineers supporting you with updates, it is preferred that you have good knowledge in CATIA and Teamcenter, so that you can perform smaller model and 3D PMI updates yourselves. Change management will be a part of your daily tasks.
• You will work in a highly professional and skilled team in a challenging environment developing advanced solutions. Your personality and expertise should like both concept work, and maintenance to deliver a good product.
• The work principles within the Exterior Systems team are flexibility and the possibility to use what you excel at together with a strong sense of co-operation; this meaning that you as part of a team will also support activities in other areas as well as you will get support on your area. We though believe that in this specific assignment has a high sense of structure and order.

Qualifications and skills required for the role

• Good CATIA skills.
• High TCe skills
• Joy in creating structure and order.
• Good Exterior Plastic Design Experience
• Good PPAP/ APQP knowledge.
• Experience in handling supplier during launch phase.
