Position Title: SW Verification Engineer

Duration: Permanent or Contract

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

***This role requires you to already be on sight with a work permit in Sweden.

About the Role:

As an Integration Functional Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the functional verification of complete electrical systems within the Software Verification team, ensuring system readiness ahead of software releases for the company's EU car models. You will collaborate closely with the China development team and work as part of the Integration Test Team at the client's Tech Center in Sweden.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute functional verification and integration testing of complete electrical and embedded systems in vehicles.
• Develop and refine test methods and procedures within the Integration area to ensure system quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, particularly with the China-based development team, to align test strategies and resolve integration issues.
• Conduct in-vehicle testing and validation to verify system behavior and performance.
• Analyze test results, document findings, and provide feedback for software and hardware improvements.
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in automotive systems and integration of embedded systems.
• Proven experience in vehicle-level integration and functional testing.
• Hands-on experience with automotive test driving and test case execution in vehicles.
• Strong ability to drive, motivate, and convince others in a collaborative engineering environment.
• Demonstrated cultural awareness, particularly in China-European collaboration contexts.
• Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Valid Swedish driver's license.

Who you are

• Genuine interest in cars and driving experience.
• Strong test analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
• Strong sense of teamwork, adaptability, and initiative.

IT / Software Requirements

• Proficiency with Vector tools, such as CANoe or CANalyzer.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet) is advantageous.
