Position Title: Validation Engineer
Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract

Position Description:
- Commercial Vehicle Electrical, Electronics & Software Systems Validation Engineer
- Delivery of Systems Validation on the Engineering Bread Boards (EBBs) and Smart Engineering Breadboards (SEBBs) as well as development vehicle fleet as required.
- Our Client use very advanced tools and methods from the standard CAN communication tools to dSPACE Rapid Control Prototyping and HIL Systems.
- This role requires complex systems and data analysis skills to triage failed test cases and issues to determine where the software or hardware defect is.
- Additionally, we require innovative mind-set and approach in developing tools and processes for testing, finding, and solving issues.
- Understanding of automotive networks, End of Line testing, On Board Diagnostics, electrical and electronic interfaces, electronic control units and AUTOSAR Adaptive and AUTOSAR Classic embedded software are very important.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of Software development, issues management and tracking processes.
- Knowledge of ECU software flash and configuration processes.
- Experience of debugging complex electrical systems with embedded software.
- Knowledge of Vehicle Electrical Network Systems.
- Experience of CAN, Ethernet and LIN and Diagnostic tools such as Vector CANalyzer, the Clients' DET and Intrepid Control Systems Vehicle Spy.
- Experience of manufacturing plant EOL processes and systems
Skills Preferred:
- dSPACE SCALEXIO and LabBox HIL Systems dSPACE ControlDesk, ConfigurationDesk and BusNavigator Matlab / Simulink / Stateflow Rapid Control Prototyping tools such as dSPACE MicroAutoBox Intrepid Control Systems hardware and software, e.g. Vehicle Spy Gateway Builder and Data Logger Vector CANoe ECU Network Testing
Experience Required:
- Demonstrated experience of automotive E/E Systems Demonstrated excellent Project Management / Co-ordination skills.
- Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
- Ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand format.
- Experience of working with global and cross-functional teams.
Experience Preferred:
- Experience of Client Product Development processes including GPDS.
- Experience of engineering processes and tools e.g. JIRA, FEDE, FMA, 8D.
Education Required:
- Core Experience with skills required above
Education Preferred:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, particularly mechatronics, control systems or electrical engineering
