Position Title: Senior LV EDS Engineer

Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract

Location: Dunton, Essex

Division: Product Development

Position Description:

  • Senior LV EDS Engineer
  • This is an opportunity to be a part of the growing Low Voltage EDS (Electrical Distribution System) Team, working inside the new Model-E organization on a brand-new BEV CV Platform.
  • The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for leading the engineering development for the LV EDS, which offers exciting exposure to every electrified system on the vehicle.
  • Lead Implementation the Electrical Distribution System (EDS) for Global Programs based on generic and reusable architectures
  • Lead the development of the Electrical Distribution system as specified by the current level of EDS SDS
  • Lead the interface to Full Service Supplier (FSS) Project Leader/s (PLs) & Program Manager/s(PMs) to deliver the EDS Design for the assigned Program/s

Skills Required:

  • Lead regular Client FSS EDS PMST, TDR's & EMM's(plus other forums as required)
  • Lead Electrical system studies and interface problem resolution
  • Support Device Transmittal implementation into the EDS design / strategy
  • Manage the interface to FSS PLs in development of the Electrical Distribution System FMEA & gain approvals
  • Relevant degree in Engineering or have completed two thirds of formal study towards degree course and commitment to complete studies, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in EDS Engineering is preferred
  • Experience and ability to judge and improve EDS designs and processes to prevent failure modes
  • Demonstrate the application and deployment of engineering quality tools (FMEA, 8D, 6 Sigma, APQP)
  • Demonstrate the application and deployment of the Clients' engineering processes (WERS, AIMS, FEDE, Teamcenter, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as one team across multiple regions (FoE, FNA, FAPA, FSAO)
  • Excellent administrative skills and level of organization
  • Project management skills with a thorough attention to detail
