Position Title: Senior Design Consultant - Body structure aluminium
Duration: 4 Month Contract

Essential Criteria:
- Overview: As an Automotive Design Engineer specializing in Body Structures with extensive expertise in Aluminium extrusions and tubular monocoque body structures.
- You will be responsible for the conceptualization, development, and implementation of innovative body structure designs for vehicles. Your primary focus will involve utilizing your knowledge of aluminium materials and manufacturing processes to create lightweight yet robust automotive body
- structures.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in automotive design engineering, specifically focused on body structures with a strong emphasis on aluminium materials.
- Proficiency in CAD software (such as CATIA,) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools for structural analysis.
- Deep understanding of aluminium material properties, manufacturing processes (casting, extrusion, stamping, etc.), and their application in automotive body design.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and optimize designs for performance, weight reduction, and manufacturability.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements related to automotive body structures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design Development: Lead the design and development of automotive body structures, focusing on the use of aluminium materials to achieve optimal structural integrity, weight reduction, and performance.
- Material Selection and Optimization:
- Evaluate and select appropriate aluminium alloys and composite materials for various vehicle components, considering factors such as strength, durability, cost, and manufacturability.
- CAD Modeling and Simulation: Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and simulation software to create detailed 3D models, conduct structural analysis, and validate designs for safety, performance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, prototyping, testing, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of designs into the production process while adhering to project timelines.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in aluminium materials and manufacturing techniques.
- Introduce innovative design solutions and methodologies to enhance product performance and efficiency.
- Prototyping and Testing Support: Collaborate with prototype teams to oversee the fabrication of prototypes and support testing activities, analyzing results to refine and improve designs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive design documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate design concepts, progress, and recommendations to stakeholders.
