Position Title: Paint Sprayer - Night Shift

Duration: Contract

Location: Woking, Surrey

  • Night Shift: 10pm - 6am, Sunday - Thursday

Purpose of Role

  • The role will operate under a 6 month fixed term contract and involve night shift responsibilities, is an integral part of a small, multifunctional team, with direct reporting to a Pain Team Leader.
  • Encouraging active participation in enhancing team performance, the position focuses on improvements in quality, cost control, productivity and safety.
  • A flexible approach to working hours is essential, including the possibility of shifts and weekend work.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Understand and follow detailed work instructions relating to the painting of vehicles.
  • Ensure that all station operations on each vehicle are completed to the required quality standard.
  • Ensure that all operations are completed to the required timescale.
  • Work as part of a team on the definition and solution of problems that may be affecting the quality, cost or productivity of the vehicles being produced.
  • Attend the workplace on a regular and timely basis, informing the team leader of any lateness or unplanned absence in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the work area is clean, tidy and orderly at all times in line with brand expectations.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly appearance within the workplace, using the uniform/ clothing provided.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and other team members, participating in safety activities as requested.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as requested.
  • Understand and adhere to the Clients' Values and help grow the Automotive Brand.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Previous Automotive Paint Spaying experience is highly desirable
  • No formal qualifications are necessary; however a foundation in engineering and/or experience within automotive or manufacturing would be a distinct advantage.
  • For some positions, specific skills may be required e.g. Composite lay-up & reparation, diagnostics, mechanical vehicle repair, bare metal repair, etc.
  • Prior experience of working as part of a team is desirable.
  • Prior experience of working to timescales would be advantageous.
  • Quality focused with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow processes set in place.
