Position Title: Packaging Engineer

Duration: 6 Months Rolling

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden

Description Of The Assignment

Packaging Engineering Includes:

• Establishing and maintaining best-in-class packaging solutions for the protection of the client's spare parts and accessories, including packaging solution updates as specified by the running change process.
• Developing new packaging solutions, including load-carrier solutions, in specific cases.
• Securing the entire packaging engineering process, from the supplier to the end customer, using best-in-class industry practices and processes.
• Establishing and maintaining procedure documents for packaging analysis, justification and implementation utilising total cost concepts.
• Securing dangerous goods packaging solutions, including warning labels and data sheets.
• Leading and facilitating cross-functional teams when needed for developing robust packaging solutions, both domestically and internationally.
• Establishing and maintaining packaging guidelines and functional specifications.
• Ensuring the container stuffing degree optimisation.
• Analyse quality issues concerning specific packaging solutions, including load carrier solutions, to find a remedy.
• Monitoring the quality of the packaging solutions, including load carrier solutions, to drive and implement of packaging solutions improvements.
• Monitoring existing packaging solutions to streamline the packaging portfolio and reduce overall cost.
• Monitoring the total cost of the packaging solutions, including load carrier solutions, to drive and implement packaging solution cost reductions.

Qualifications And Skills Required For The Role

• Packaging engineering degree or equivalent.
• Preferably 1-3 years of automotive industry packaging or logistics experience.
• Familiar with different packaging material properties.
• Packaging quality experience.
• Packaging cost calculation experience.
• Packaging concept design experience.
• 2D/3D visualisation skills.
• Computer application skills, (Microsoft Office, logistics systems, etc.)
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
