About the company

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Automotive industry components company who are looking for a Interior Mechanisms Project Engineering Consultant to join their team on a 12 month rolling basis

The role is hybrid working from Gaydon / client sites

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in automotive/mechanical engineering with established OEMs or Tier 1 in the automotive industry
• Experience in Interior Mechanisms (examples include, air vents, sliding lids, cupholders, armrests, release levers, gloveboxes)
• Degree or equivalent in Automotive or Mechanical engineering discipline (would consider no degree with 3+ years of experience in interiors, mechanisms or cockpits)
• Project management skills: experience with End-to-end project planning and risk management.
• Skilled in all areas of Microsoft office (excel etc)
• Highly driven and motivated to succeed and develop career.
• Able to work unsupervised and proactively in a flexible and dynamic environment.
• Able to open and interrogate CAD (CATIA)
• Documentation & Reporting- Ensure full compliance with documentation standards
• Documentation & reporting- Author comprehensive technical and reports
• Problem Solving:- Diagnose complex issues, lead the implementation of robust solutions, and drive change management
• Having participated and influenced DFMEA creation and maintenance
• Collaborative and communicative to maintain relationship with x-functional stakeholders
