Position Title: Innovation Designer

Description of the assignment

• Our Client is seeking an Innovation Designer with a focus on human interaction and immersive automotive experiences.
• This role will contribute to a future-forward automotive ecosystem, driving the integration of interactive technologies and user-centered design.
• The ideal candidate will creatively apply their expertise to shape how vehicles engage with users through light, technology, and digital communication.
• While previous experience in the mobility industry is not required, a passion for redefining user interaction through lighting and technology is essential.
• You will work within the Technology & Innovation department, a collaborative and interdisciplinary team that values curiosity, creativity, and a drive for innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative design solutions that enhance the user's digital and physical experience within the vehicle environment.
• Create interactive experiences that adapt to user inputs, environmental contexts, and enhance the holistic experience of the vehicle.
• Work closely with engineering, Design, Digital Interaction, and development teams in Europe and China to ensure successful concept realization. Maintain a clear line of communication and collaboration between all stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, guidelines, and user manuals, to support the integration of solutions across various platforms.
• Stay updated on the latest design and technology trends, applying insights to continuously push the boundaries of user experience in vehicle ecosystems.
• Ensure all design solutions prioritize the user's comfort, safety, and interaction within the vehicle's digital ecosystem.

Qualifications and skills required for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
• A Master's degree in a similar field or specialization in lighting or interaction design is a plus.
• Experience within the mobility industry is optional, but a broad perspective and the ability to adapt design skills to new environments are highly valued.
• Ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex design challenges and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.
• Knowledge in a 3D Software is a plus.
• Strong understanding of user-cantered design principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions effectively.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
• Passion for automotive design and emerging technologies in the automotive industry.
