Position Title: Feature Systems Engineer

Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract

Location: Dunton, Essex

Division: Product Development

Position Description:

  • Feature Systems Engineer.
  • This Feature System Engineer position involves ownership of features from first concept through development and into production.
  • Today is the age of electrification and automation of the automotive industry with new features proposed daily and the Client needs people that are creative and motivated to deliver the features of tomorrow to their customers.

Skills Preferred:

  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams)
  • Functional knowledge electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc.
  • Electrical Systems Engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V model
  • Electrical D&R experience
  • Electrical testing experience
  • Knowledge of software development processes.

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years of experience with vehicle electrical systems and/or features
  • Knowledge of Quality Documents (DFMEA, LFMA, and boundary diagrams)
  • Electrical Systems Engineering experience including understanding of systems engineering V model
  • Automotive electrical testing experience

Experience Preferred:

  • Functional knowledge electrical module design, networking, wiring, power distribution, chassis systems, lighting systems, etc.
  • Electrical D&R experience
  • Knowledge of software development

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree

Education Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree

Additional Information:

  • Location: Hybrid Working and workload dependant (Minimum of 1 day a week in Essex office)
  • Travel: Limited travel required - if required, likely to will be Germany, Turkey or Belgium.
