Position Title: Facility Technician
Duration: Contract
Location: Basildon, Essex
- Our Client is seeking a Facility Technician on a fixed term basis for 12 months at our Engineering Centre in Basildon, Essex.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation, installation, connection, service, maintenance, calibration of equipment in accordance with given procedures
- Works with & updates service and maintenance schedules
- Controls and regulates the facilities to ensure the optimal operating state
- Procures the equipment and consumables needed in the relevant area of responsibility
- DIY (Plumbing, Painting, Decorating, Joinery) for all communal spaces
- Operation of Facilities plant and equipment and interrogation of site building management systems
- Routine testing on a variety of life safety systems including fire alarm systems among others
- Supporting key projects, office refurbishments, moves and external ground repairs
- Installation of cables including communication and data
- Building fabric maintenance, fixtures and fittings repair mechanical services repair
- Respond to call-out system for emergencies, security and alarm-related call-outs
- Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and reporting accordingly providing resulting recommendations
- Water management procedure
YOUR PROFILE:
Essential:
- Experienced in facility maintenance
- Experienced in building HVAC and associated systems maintenance
- Independent, target-oriented way of working and a high level of initiative
- Experience with minor build works
- Minor electrical works and plumbing experience
Knowledge of:
- Electrical engineering and control systems
- Compressed and flammable gases and associated systems
- Working experience of health & safety management processes
- Awareness of L8 Legionellosis
- Painting and decorating experience
- Full, clean and valid UK driving license
Preferable:
- Qualifications relating to electrical installations (17th Edition)
- Qualifications relating to electrical installations (18th Edition)
- Experienced in facility maintenance within an automotive or related technical environment
- Fork lift Truck License
- Mobile Working Elevated Platform
