Position Title: Layout & Systems Integration BIM Engineer and 4D Modeller
Duration: 6 Month Rolling Contract

Position Description:
- Layout & Systems Integration BIM Engineer and 4D Modeller
Role:
- Working within Powertrain Manufacturing and supporting project teams on complex multi-disciplinary industrial installation projects.
- Design integration lead from proposals through to industrialisation.
- You will be expected to produce and develop 3D co-ordinated models using BIM and 3D modelling tools such as Revit, Inventor, and Navisworks.
- Responsible for creating concept & feasibility layouts for new manufacturing processes or facilities that utilise space effectively and have a clear structure for material, people and production flow and support lean manufacturing targets.
- Production of schematic and detailed drawings for the purposes of setting out during installations.
- Support the wider team utilising BIM to remove error conditions prior to construction/manufacture.
- Work with inputs from multiple sources including internal and externally authored data.
- Undertake BIM clash detection work stream on assigned projects.
- Undertake design review sessions with stakeholders both internal and external.
- Work with stakeholders to close out actions. Work closely with process, facilities, and construction teams to ensure total facility design is effectively developed to required level of detail.
- Support site installation teams during build/installation phase.
- Lead the development of the master layout and/or zone from concept design through to detailed planning or gateway approval, communicating clearly the requirements of the process / facility effectively to internal process teams, consultant engineer and construction teams.
- Lead coordination of the incoming & outgoing design data via the CDE to ensure that all changes are identified, and that the accuracy of drawings/models held on file are updated & maintained.
- Required to work on projects relating to Mechanical, Electrical and Process Equipment, so experience in these areas is essential.
Skills Required:
- Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk Inventor and Factory Design Utilities or other equivalent 3D mechanical CAD system.
- Understanding of construction and industrial fit-out works including safe working practices.
- Advanced competency of Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
Experience Required:
Must have:
- Excellent communication skills.

- Ability to lead review sessions with broad stakeholder groups.
- Understanding of construction and industrial fit-out works including safe working practices.
- Intermediate capability in Navisworks Manage Clash Detection.
- Intermediate-Advanced Revit modelling capability.
- Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Intermediate-Advanced with Autodesk Inventor and Factory Design Utilities or other equivalent 3D mechanical CAD system.
- Ability to analyse and assess complex issues and provide recommendations.
- Advanced competency of Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint.
- Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Proven skills to successfully control and manage workload and the implementation of company and project BIM and CAD standards and drawing document procedures.
- Understanding and experience of CDM regulations.
Experience Preferred:
Desirable:
- Experience using Autodesk ReCap.
- Experience using CDE's during a project lifecycle.
- Understanding of ISO 19650 and its application.
