Position Title: Expert Designer

Job Purpose

• Lead and deliver the realisation of the Clients' interior design, bringing initial strategy concept and vision to production release.
• Craft breathtaking products, create meaningful experiences and provide holistic design solutions that are deeply grounded in user needs.
• Create interior design concepts and design drafts with future-oriented characteristics in 2D & 3D media from the early phase to production.
• Coach, educate and inspire a world class interior design team to create ambitious and unique interior environment.

• Within an interdisciplinary team, you coordinate with process partners on your own responsibility and ensure compliance with the requirements for your designs.

Key Accountabilities

• Strategy Development and Implementation
• A great sense for human-centric design and being able to transfer the user´s needs into design proposals
• Strive for best-in-class perceived quality, uniqueness, comfort, performance, UX, keeping in mind brand strategy compliance.
• Orchestrate the holistic interior experience with your design colleagues to create a convincing, coherent overall design.
• Participate in Design and Brand Strategy development and its implementation.
• Coordinate within the interdisciplinary team compliance with the requirements for your design.
• Benchmark and research competitive analysis

Project Management

• Responsible for the design representation of the projects throughout the entire development process from the early phase to market launch.
• Creation of sketches, renderings, visualizations and the supervision of proportion models, clay models and virtual models
• Maintains strong cross departmental partnerships through the creation process with interior advanced design, CMF, UI/UX, modelling, engineering and external suppliers' teams.
• Assist the Department Manager to deal and organize the time schedule of the projects in running
• Assist the manager to give technical support and opinion to the team members

Vendor Selection/Management

• Follow meeting protocols and provide material to specific requirement
• Guaranty a good project workflow and interdisciplinary communication.

People Management

• Ensure the timing and co-ordinate the team members regarding the project activities
• Assist to coordinate the department and projects related activities inside the department and with others department
• Giving opinion to the department manager about team members' performance
• Assist the manager to handle the daily team /department activities
• Guide our young talents and tutor Interns

Reporting

• Perform tasks assigned by the department manager
• Prepare and attend project status overviews. Keep an updated overview of all technical issues.
• Attend projects presentation to top management and actively participates in their preparation.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Transportation Design or Industrial Design

Skills & Competencies:

• Expert in car interior concept and production
• Very good level of understanding car manufacturing process, ergonomics and material science.
• Great skills in Adobe Photoshop, Blender and Autodesk Alias, Sub-D, VRED or other VR tool is a plus; MS Office; Adobe creative suite.
• Stay current with latest trends in automotive design as well as consumer product, architecture, art, fashion and technical innovations.
• Excellent professional communication skills spoken & written, fluency in spoken and written English
• High level of self-responsibility, creativity and independence
• High level of responsibility, creativity and independence
• Great communication skills to both Engineering and Design Leadership, ability to create a presentation telling a compelling story.

Minimum Experience:

• 7+ years
• EOM experience and/or startup automotive
