Position Title: CATIA V6 Package Design Engineer
Duration: 5 Month Rolling Contract
Location: Whitley / Gaydon / Multiple Locations
Division: Vehicle Operations
Position Description:
- Physical Properties CAD Engineer
- Proficient CAD user, trained on CATIA V6 Primary focus on Client prototype package models, whilst also supporting other activities related to the engineering and build of technology demonstrator properties.
- These require understanding and then integration of new technologies into existing or new vehicles.
- Solid and surface creation, manipulation and assembly
- Working in collaboration with build suppliers to create accurate physical models in challenging timescales
- Accurate hard model modifications
- Prototype mechanism design and build
Skills Required:
- Proficient CAD user, trained on CATIA V6 Primary focus on Client prototype package models, Solid and surface creation, manipulation and assembly Prototype mechanism design and build
- Working in collaboration with build suppliers to create accurate physical models from Ureols, RP parts in challenging timescales.
- Accurate hard model modifications
- Supporting other activities related to the engineering and build of technology demonstrator properties and Rigs.
- These require understanding and then integration of new technologies into existing or new vehicles.
Skills Preferred:
- Current primary work location anticipated to be Whitley area (Coventry).
- Team location to be on Seven Stars Industrial Estate in Coventry Candidates must have own transport as anticipated travel to other sites, namely Gaydon and NAIC to support reviews & Builds
Experience Required:
- Prototype model build experience
- Operated with manufacturing suppliers previously
- Previous mechanism design - automotive or other related engineering feel
Experience Preferred:
- Alias CAD Design advantageous
