Contechs is recruiting on behalf of our high profile Automotive customer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. They are seeking a Capex Controller / Global Investment Controller to join their team in Lindholmen who works with teams and stakeholders all over the world.

Description of the assignment

Opportunity
We are looking for a highly skilled Capex Controller / Global Investment Controller to join a dynamic Business Control team within an OEM in Gothenburg. This role plays a key part in managing capital investments across global operations-both tangible and intangible-ensuring accurate financial reporting and strategic alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead consolidated Capex reporting (actuals, forecasts, business plans) across global programs.
• Manage vendor tooling controlling, including asset classification, ordering, activation, depreciation periods, and scrapping.
• Support cash flow and balance sheet planning related to investments.
• Develop and implement robust processes for Capex planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analyses to support business decisions and investment strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with global teams to ensure financial transparency and performance alignment.
• Actively contribute to the development of the Business Control team through process improvement and knowledge sharing.
  

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in financial controlling, within the automotive industry.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
• Familiarity with Capex-related accounting, asset management, and tooling processes.

Team & Reporting

You will be part of a small, senior global Business Control team (7 members) and report directly to the Manager Business Control.
