Position Description:

• Off Cycle Core
• This is professional buying role within the Production Procurement Organisation of the Client, key actions are as follows: Relationship Management of a Group of Suppliers within the Body in White/ Body Structures Commodity Area Delivery of Net Cost Reduction targets inclusive of negotiation of supplier claims
• Ensuring Raw Materials process and scrap recovery process is adhered to
• Ensuring any delivery issues are quickly understood and resolved leading to a multi-disciplinary team including Supplier Technical Assistance;
• Material Planning and Logistics and Production Plants Sourcing Off Cycle Programme requirements in relation to Model Year Changes including other required Design Changes, working with the Product Engineering Team to understand and convey the design changes, obtaining quotes in a timely fashion, leading Value for Money analysis with the Cost Engineering team and Supporting Delivery of Parts for Launch Pro-active and positive team member working across other commodities and the On Cycle Sourcing and Strategy Team able to fill in for other team members and areas to address variations in work demands Highly proficient at Negotiation, Computer Systems, Microsoft Applications Ideally already working in Automotive or another Advanced Manufacturing Industry Interested in a career at the Client.
• Able to manage a complex and multi-faceted workload
• Either Post Graduate education level and /or CIPs qualified or Strong and Extensive Track record of Procurement
• Experience Strong Customer / Stakeholder focus
• Able to Assess and set out the strategic development of their suppliers
• Strong Business Acumen
