Position Title: Body Controls D&R Engineer
Duration: 12 Month Rolling Contract

Position Description:
- Model E - Body Controls D&R Engineer
- Commercial vehicles are key to our business success and in this role as part of the Model E organisation you will be a lead member of the team responsible for the successful delivery of our future products.
- The specific focus of the role will be as a Design and Release Engineer within the CV Body Controls Application team.
- The role will suit an existing D&R engineer looking to develop into the exciting growth area of CV electrical systems.
- The scope will therefore have a high D&R focus with development opportunities into the Clients' electrical future.
- On the job training and development planning will be utilised to enable many of the specific skills to be attained.
- You will lead, manage and resolve compatibility issues to support program delivery at the various Milestones and Gateways.
- This will involve working with the Feature Owners / Core Team / Program teams and supplier to ensure the customer expectations are met.
- Lead the Team of Four (Purchasing, Finance, Cost Estimating & Engineering) process.
- Plan and coordinate design verification and validation testing to support engineering sign off gateways (Buck, Vehicle)
- Support latest software processes and cyber security. (full training will be given)
- Support prototype builds and production launches at vehicle assembly plants.
- Support manufacturing requirements, diagnostics and EOL compatibility.
- Lead investigations and resolutions for any test failures, launch issues and customer quality concerns.
- Support programme meetings, monitor delivery performance and conduct weekly status report-outs to management to forums.
- Use lessons learnt, quality data, and FMA tools for continuous improvement.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel between Dunton, Kocaeli, Dearborn and Kansas (When appropriate).
Skills Required:
- Degree in Engineering discipline or have completed one third of formal study towards degree course and commitment to complete studies, or equivalent experience
- Experience in Product Development or Electrical Systems/Component Engineering
- Excellent analytical and strategic skills
- Project management skills with a thorough attention to detail in planning and delivery of issue resolution.
- Strong communication and presentation and team skills
- Experience of working within global teams
- Strong IT skills (e.g. Excel, Teamcenter, WERS)
- Ability to demonstrate use of initiative, perseverance and liaison skills
- Full UK driving licence
Skills Preferred:
- Good knowledge of the Clients' development process (e.g. GPDS, FMA, eFDVS, software releasing)
- Experience with the Clients' process tools (WERS, VSEM, TeamCentre, FEDE, JIRA)
- Experience the Clients' Engineering tools (DET, Canalyzer)
