About the Company

Contechs are recruiting on behalf of a Luxury Automotive Manufacturer based in Surrey who are seeking an Automotive CMD Manager to manage and lead their CMD team. This role is maternity cover for 12 months.

Assignment Description:

Lead and manage Colour & Material innovations, introducing new materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods to be deployed across all vehicle programs.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have held a senior CMD manager position in an Automotive OEM.
• Must have a detailed portfolio demonstrating their creative work and team management skills
• Must be able to show work on production vehicle projects
• A University Degree in Art and Design or equivalent, with an aptitude for colour, pattern, and texture design.
• Highly creative with excellent colour vision, colour harmony and an intuitive understanding of perceived value and craftsmanship.
• Significant knowledge of automotive/industrial colour application methods, material types and production methods
• A superior technical and creative understanding of the design process and design model build process
• Strong record of ability to deal with challenging targets and achieve successfully to quality, cost and time targets
• Clear understanding of project and budget delivery in line with business objectives
• High Level of competence in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office
• 3D visualisation skills an advantage.
• Strong creative, people and team management skills essential
• Automotive OEM experience
