Contechs is recruiting an Automation Engineer for a premium EV automotive company in Sweden, to be based onsite in Gothenburg, Sweden

Job Description

As an Automation Engineer your main responsibilities are:

• Provide Automation tools that allow different Test teams to validate system level software releases before a new product is introduced
• Automate, configure, optimize, and maintain components of our software development and deployment processes.
• Set up and manage various tools within containerized environments, securely integrating with other systems using API tokens, configuring and maintaining automation tools, deploying and configuring dashboards, and addressing challenges related to data management.
• Contribute to the development of a flexible, modular, and easy to use framework, and enable the Test teams in Sweden and China to run test scripts and simulate conditions for exploratory tests.

Qualifications / Skills needed

• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Groovy, Shell scripting, and YAML.
• Experience with HTTP, MQTT and ADB protocols.
• Experience with software fundamentals (CI/CD, software design, modularity)
• Experience with Diagnostic protocols and embedded systems debugging.
• Demonstrated experience in working with IT infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in developing and integrating automation solutions.
• Good knowledge of HIL test environments.
• Familiar with Agile software development.
• Linux and Docker Proficiency: Strong command of Linux and Docker for efficient system configuration and maintenance.
• Scripting and Coding: Scripting and Coding: Expertise in writing efficient scripts and code in Python, Java, Groovy, Shell scripting, and YAML for automation purposes.
• Tool Integration: Experience in integrating automation tools with various software development and operations tools. Eg Docker, Jenkins, ElasticSearch, and Grafana.
• Monitoring Solutions: Familiarity with setting up and configuring monitoring solutions to track the performance of automation tools.
• Documentation: Ability to create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation frameworks, tools, and processes.
